I'm so mad right now, one of my reborns toes got over baked so i tried to make it a bruise and now it look's horrible. and Is stained on the vinyl can anyone help me????????
I hope you posted your pic in the showcase and someone gave you the advice you were looking for. I have one baby that also looks like she has a bruise on her finger but decided to keep her and didn't fix it yet. I was thinking... using the colorwheel, try to neutralize the color to flesh tone again and go from there.
Oh no , hope you managed to get this sorted ? x I need to get a colour wheel .....and im unsure of what colour vinyl needs what colour wash prior to starting. I will have to search for this info . Ive heard a heat gun can be used for things such as tipping nails and lips ...is this advisable? goodluck with your reborn Ananymously , would love to hear how it goes x
I hope you only use the heat gun quickly as I have used it and held it to close too long and turned out shiny. To colour correct you use paltho Spell check) green and 07 mix to nice constancy with orderless thinners. Bake as per usual. You may need to do it a couple of times. Then I would give it a couple of coats of flesh tones quite thin, and then do what ever you have in mind. As far as baking goes, I bake in an convection oven at 130 degrees for 8 minutes. Hope this helps. XXXX June
In order to decide what color to correct with, take a look at each doll kit and see if it looks a funny or off color for a baby. Most of Secrist vinyl doesn't need color-correction. My babies all turn out fine. The BB kits are usually a pink so they would need correction, the Berenguers are orange-ish and also need correcting. IMHO. You can search our forum to find all kinds of information on that and other topics. Just go to the top of your page, find the "search" in the red bar at the top, click on it and type in your word (s). It will bring up all kinds of threads that cover your issues.
June (Sarazata) bakes at 130 degrees and that is Celcius NOT ferenheit by the way. You can also search for "heat gun", "baking", "colorwheel", etc.
