i could be wrong but i believe the ar paint is for use with out thinner, basicaly you put a touch of paint on a glass palatte and use the round sponge with a handle to pounce it out thin /see thru then use that sponge to apply...........sage

If you go to the thread on "Secrist new paints and compareson" in this topic you can read all about the AR paints. Sage is right! No thinner needed with these as they already have the thinner in them.

I personally still use thinner with them. I like very thin layers of paint. I don't use the thinner to do the creases and wrinkles or the lips, but everything else gets thinned. I thin my paints by putting several drops of thinner on my sponge, then applying a little paint on the sponge with a craft stick. I blend it in, and then pounce on my flesh or mottling or whatever it is. The vein paint needs thinned out, too, since it's a very intense color. But, that's just the way I do it. :)

Well, all I gotta say is if Andrea does it, it MUST be good!! Have you SEEN her babies?? They're awesome!

At any rate, I guess everyone does it differently. I have been told that I can't use GHSP and ADP...but I do. I just don't do an all over painting technique with GHSP. I usually just do creases and sometimes veins, just because I NEED the intense color I get with them.

If anyone wanted to also use the Genesis and ADP the best way to do that would be do do all your Genesis painting first, bake, cool. Then it wouldn't matter if you used the ADP's because you won't have to bake the parts any more. Kind of like putting down a "base" and then continuing on from there. :D
And yes, Andrea's babies are tops!!
