Can I remove single layer of paint

Hi everyone I'm new to reborning and just started my first doll.I bought the secrist squeaky kit which is absolutely gorgeous,I just wondered if there is anyway I can remove the mottling I have done on my doll without touching the layers of genesis heat set paints underneath,any advice would be brill

Not if you have already baked it, you would have to strip it all and start again, sorry. Pat my have other suggestions. XXXXX june.

if you don't want to strip the kit you could tone down the mottleing by doing a color wash..........sage

i use acetone..........i buy it a the hardware store .......the best is windsor n newton......micheals sells it , a little costly but fab .........don't rub to hard or kit can get shiny.......thanks for your kind comment...........sage

Love that Winsor n Newton stuff, I agree works wonders. It's actually formulated for artists I've heard. Not as harsh as others. So you would use cotton balls or a soft cotton cloth to remove the paint (there is a thread on this... ie: removing paint?) and soak the cotton ____, then just one swipe per side or pad/ball. Softly but firmly.
Personally, I would rather neutralize the color and go from there instead of taking off all my previous work. That's why I love heat-set paint, you get do-overs! :D

Ok. There's LOTS of valuable information in these topics and threads. If you need more info, just go to the top of the page, click on "search" and type in your word(s). When you do that you can either hit enter or click on the submit(?) button and all the topic threads should come up in that subject.
