I haven't tried her mohair hun. But for $3? Hmmm... could be worse than the standard mohair you had from Secrist. I know you said you really didn't care for that stuff.
Maybe she finally got enough e-mails from people that she decided to finally get some help. She sure appeared to need it.
I hope you get your stuff!

As soon as I get some time... (whatever that is) I'm going to post some pics on how to use the basic mohair from Secrist. Also the English mohair (which is the same method). That is also when I can get my daughter to stay home and help with the pics. I need 3 hands! I have pics that I took 1 handed and they are ok but... I want everyone to see exactly how I do it as it minimizes the little scrappy peices and makes the hair look shiny! :D
Actually when you use the standard mohair the way I do, it comes out very nice (and shiny too) so it CAN be good for newbies to practice on and it will look good!
Hi Pat and Ashley! I found a monent to come visit! I am going to use the Secrist standard mohair again on paris and do like Pat suggested and pinch off a piece and pull straight down versus out and away from the rest. I am almost done with Paris...still not sure if Paris (Secrist) will become a boy or girl...I guess only the rooting job will define that for me . I hope to get he/she/it done in a couple of weeks. Will post pics when I do. I will probably try to sell this one as I did a lot more with mottling and blushing and I feel it's up to par so far. I got another Secrist Rosie to do and she'll be done with wavy angelic mohair from Secrist that I ordered from DBS. I also ordered some yearling straight/wavy from Slumberland and it's on it's way, but I want to do a wavy haired Rosie. I adore her! I also want to do a larger Secrist head, like 22" and wig it with the pia wigs I got on the 20% sale in brown and blonde. All in time, though. Take care, all! Miss you all!
My daughter sucked up a bunch of ants in her vaccuum that has a clear window and goes around in a circle. The next day she got up and looked in there and they made it into an ant farm. Little trails all over. And they took the food crumbs and put them in their little storage area. It was sooooo funny! hahaha
