Question about doll site with secrist dolls

Hi Deb and welcome to our family forum.

Yes, the new HobbyBaby.com is connected with Secrist Dolls. I believe it is similar to the relationship that Secrist has with HobbyLobby.com where they sell some exclusive doll kits that are only created just for them, and also reborning supplies that Secrist carries on their site too. I got the postcard too.
Since it is Secrist kits and supplies, Secrist sent out postcards to let their customers and dealers know that there is an additional new outlet to get some of their products from.
I do not believe that contact information has been sold since the postcards eminated from Secrist Dolls themselves. To my knowledge, Secrist has never sold or given out anyones contact information.

And here is the information I received from the office:

"Hobby Baby hired us to help with their marketing. If you looked at their website, you will see that they missed alot of important things like eye colors, limb size choices etc. We are just now starting to try to fix things so there should be a change soon. WE DO NOT SELL OR GIVE OUT OUR CUSTOMERS ADDRESSES. Because they are kits made by us for them, we sent out a postcard to our customers. They do not have the addresses. We offer marketing help to all of our dealers and in our privacy statement, we say that at times we may send materials to our customers that they might benefit from but the dealers never get the names or addresses."

I hope this helps to clerify the situation. :)

Also, through the end of Dec, dealers are able to purchase the 4 doll kits that Secrist made as an exclusive for HobbyBaby. So if you are not a dealer and would like this opportunity, see your dealer.

You're welcome. And so is my youngest daughter... shoes and purses. Almost as bad as Carrie from S*x and the City. hehehe

And... I received my HobbyBaby kits yesterday. Don't be put off by the Reagan and Cody kits. I really didn't care for their looks on the website but when I got the kits, oh!!! are they ever cute! The pictures do NOT do them justice at all! They are really adorable! I'm glad I got one of each! :)
