Hi everyone Im so excited waiting patiently (or not )for my first baby to arrive we have choosen Dumplin by Donna RuBert...promised hubby I wouldnt open her till christmas ...we'll see lol I keep telling myself I can do this and I'm sure I can with some help and tips from all you clever ladies ..been peeping at a few of your babies and I could cuddle them all to bits ..would anyone recommend the anatomically correct parts ?
I for one wouldn't realy use them , but there may be collectors out there wanting them. I love a baby to look like a baby, and dressed pretty, like how we used to dress our babies when mine where born. WELCOME to the fortum, it is the best place to come home to, the ladies are all so friendly and helpfull, glad you choose to join us all. WELCOME once again. Buy the way, I'm all the way from Australia. I have Dumplin to do also, I have been making porcelain dolls for over 20 yrs, and Donna Ru Bert is one of my favourite sculptors, I have a lot of her molds. XXXXXX June.

Thankyou for your reply Sara im really looking forward to starting Dumplin she is here in the UK but Ive just found out I need to pay custom charges before I get her never mind Im sure she will be worth waiting for xx
Welcome to our family forum Dawnz. I'm sure you will like it here. Since you posted in this thread I'm hoping you may have read them. There is also a thread on posting pics.
I love Donna's sculpts and I'm glad she making vinyl kits now. She has done porcelains for lots of years.
Ya, that's part of it... when you order from outside your own country sometimes you get hit for customs or vat taxes. But it's either you pay it or the vendor adds it to the price of the kit. Someone has got to pay that part I guess. But you'll see, your kit will be well worth it. If you want Secrist kits you should check out our vendor(s). I know there is at least 1 in the UK. Her name is Ruth Annette. She also runs SR. She also carries our paints and supplies.
thankyou for welcoming me to your forum I did have a quick look round the threads but lol it will take ages to go through them all thanks for the tip and I will have a look at Ruth Annette
You're welcome. I suggested Ruth because she's a Secrist dealer and also in the UK. Maybe it will save you some customs fees :)
If theres anything you need to find out, just use the search feature and put in a word or two. It will help with what you are looking for (ie: chalkies, setting eyes, rooting, etc) so you won't have to read through every post to find something. There is tons of information (questions/answers) in our forum. Our first forum actually got wiped out accidentally by the push of a button. We don't allow that person near the forum any more hehehe. We had literally thousands of posts. So we started over many years ago and things have been fine since :)
