I can honestly say I haven't done this yet, and that's amazing because I have sure made a lot of mistakes.

I'm not sure what to tell you.  What does the toenail feel like?  is it sticky or anything?  I think you just put an oil paint layer over a water soluble layer.  If it's not sticky or anything, could you correct the color by painting over it?  if not, I'm afraid the only cure may be to remove that last layer and there's no easy way to do that.

You might be able to soak the nails in water and maybe peel off the aleens. Or maybe it baked off under the flesh. If it doesn't feel funny or anything, and if you like the look how it is now, you can always just leave it and go on. Otherwise, like Linda said, you might have to take it all off. Then you can use acetone to do that. Wash right away in hot soapy water to get the residue off though.
