There tons of threads on oven vs. heat gun. I don't use the heat gun myself so I can't help you there but I did find this post "TOPIC: Family's oven or the heat gun?" That has alot of different opinions, ideas and even what some of the members here are using you might be able to get a few ideas there. Just go to the top and click search and type in ovens you should find everything you need to know there =)
Thanks for the tip, Tina. There are lots of threads on this topic that show a lot of differing opinions.
Hopefully, there will be some answers from our members in England, too.

I have a table top oven... I guess it's an electric oven that sits on my counter I rarely ever use my gas stove. As I don't like cooking with gas stoves.

No matter what tool or heating device is used to cure the heat-set paint, it is important for the paint to be baked at a specific temperature in order to become permanently set.
Per the Secrist website, a bake temperature of 265 degrees Fahrenheit or 130 degrees Celsius is needed to cure HSPs. Suggested bake time is eight minutes. If you are using a heat gun, the recommendation is 5 - 10 seconds.
I am unaware of a hair dryer that reaches a temperature of 265. While I'm not a huge fan of heat guns, they are a less expensive option than ovens.
