Forked needles are a tad tricky for some to use (including me LOL) What hole is too big? The one it makes in the vinyl? Maybe your pushing the needle it a bit too far?

yes, one it makes in the vinyl!!..

I red these istructions:

Rotate the needle until you find the "sweet spot" that picks up hair and then mark that position on the handle. If you allow the needle to rotate while you root, you'll stop picking up hair. I suggest you use a magnifying glass to find the fork on the end of the needle and keep it at the "7:00" (or pointing at your left shoulder if you're right handed) position as you root, inserting the needle perpendicular to the hair strands.

anyone has suggestions?

Thanks

I haven't gotten the hang of them myself. I tried several times but I can't seem to find that spot. I mean I find it but then I must loose it again. But the needle didn't make large holes in the head. Hmmm

I wish I had gotten instructions like that with mine. I didn't get any! So yours sounds pretty good though.
Maybe try a 42 guage 3 barb needle instead. I posted on using them.

Pippilong is correct.  The best tip I have is to place a mark on your needle holder to indicate which side should be up when you root.

If you are a beginner in rooting, I would honestly avoid these needles until you've had more experience with the easier-to-use needles.

Wish I could offer more suggestions.

Linda

Sage, the link isn't working.  I think you have to be logged in to the user's eaph2.com account to see it.  Any ideas?

Hugs,
Linda

Got it!  Sorry it took so long...  I was traveling to Las Vegas, and haven't had a second of time to get on the forum.  Miss you all!
