My Class Schedule on Hold for Surgery
Permalink

I doubt anyone reads this forum to find out about my doll classes here in the Phoenix area, but just in case....

I have always tried to schedule a class or weekend workshop for each month except January and July.  However... I have to have some surgery on the rim and around my eye because a cyst turned out to be a basal cell carcinoma.  I've been told if I have to have a skin cancer, this is the one to have.  No thank you!

Unfortunately, it's too late and I have to go through two surgeries because of the critical location of the cyst (eye).

I'll have MOHS surgery on Feb 3, and plastic surgery on Feb 4. (I'm so not looking forward to this, but I'm also anxious to get it done. )

I've put the classes on hold until I know how long my eye will be patched or how well I can see using one eye if the patch must be on for any length of time.

I am hoping I will be able to go back to regular scheduling in March or April.  Keep watching my website or this section of the forum for class news.

Hugs,

Thank you, Tina.  I really, really appreciate the prayers.  I'm trying to stay focused on other things because I can't stand the anxiety and jitters over what's coming.  Usually my mind builds things up to be much worse than they are.  It would be wonderful if this turned out to be less painful and serious than it appears to be.

I never dreamed that in my lifetime I would go to a plastic surgeon for anything unless I won the lottery or something when I got "old".  All of a sudden I am old and going to a plastic surgeon out of necessity to fix my eye instead of vanity to take care of wrinkles or get the "lifestyle lift" that's advertised on TV.  Too bad they can't just throw in a complimentary lift since I'm going to have pain anyway.  LOL.
Hugs,
