asian baby paint colors?

hey again! i hope everyone has had a nice holiday!

i was just thinking about my new kit and i would like to know if anyone has done an asian baby. i need to know what colors of paint i should get. i know for sure that i need to get yellow ochre. i'm getting the special reborn techniques dvd and i don't want to start painting and not have the right paint. if anyone could tell me the colors of paint i will need, that would make my next project so much easier! thanks! smile

I have that DVd, you'll love it! I'll try to watch mine again and tell you what you need, unless someone else comes in and says.
Had a nice Christmas, my oldest daughter flew in from Denver Colorado to Minnesota to be with the family and we just had pics done!

I wish I had an open DVD here.  I'm so sorry I can't tell you right off hand what colors are needed.   I'm guessing the recommended paint colors will include the middle flesh colors in the 05-07 range, as well as a yellow such as the one you already have.

thank you for the suggestions about the paint colors Linda! i was watching a preview of the movie they have on here and because it was just a clip of that part it only  showed her saying about the flesh 07 and flesh 08. i took a closer look and i think i saw burnt umber, peach blush, and the wash color. i didn't buy any of the middle flesh colors and i'm hoping i don't need them! thanks again for trying to help!! :)

Ok, sorry it took me so long to get these for you, but here is what you'll need for the Asian skintone from Michelle Barrows-Belisle (special reborn technique encyclopedia part 1):

Flesh 08, 07, and 06
Pyrole red 05
Yellow ochre
White
Pthalo green
Pyrole red 02
Glazing gel
Burnt umber
Black
Internal purple wash

You'll also need:
1/2 and 3/4 Maxines mop brushes
and craft sticks or something to get the paint out of the jars.

I should go and make a "sticky" of these and also the AA baby colors so everyone will be able to find them when they order the dvd. Hmmm

biggrinBuffington, thank you so much for taking the time to watch that dvd again and tell me what paints i need. the truth is, i just ordered the colors i thought i needed and was thrilled when the dvd finally came, so i could start painting. i watched it and sadly sulked downstairs to place yet another order for two more paints.....well, my paints finally came and my asain baby is all painted now. thanks for your help again and hopefully if someone else is interested in doing an asain doll, that will know what to do. thanks soooooo much again!

I'm pretty sure DVD that was referenced is still sold on the Secrist Dolls website.  Find the DVD - Special Reborn Technique Encyclopedia, Part I at:
