If you are using Genesis or Authentic Reborn paints, you can try applying another flesh coat to to try and cover a few of the red blotches. Or, if you want to keep the blotches but tone down the intensity of the red, you could applying a minty bluish green color (the color that is opposite of the red color when you look at a color wheel) over the red blotches.

Many babies are blotchy. Are you sure the baby is really too red? When I'm not totally sure, I like to see the doll in all types of light. I will typically wait until the next day to bake or heat set the paint.

Hope it helps.

Linda

I agree with Linda. A picture would help to see what your seeing however many babies are blotchy and usually another layer of flesh blends in a natural blotchy look.

I had that on my contest baby (that I never got finished for it) and I did the mint green wash and it made her just right!
