Pre-installed eyes

I notice Secrist has a kit with pre-installed eyes.  Do these work?  Can you still bake? Isn't it hard to paint around them?

They are very simple. They are already installed and yes you can safely bake them. No it's not hard to paint around them just use caution however with GHS paint if any does get on them you can easily wipe the paint off the eyes before baking.

Yes, like Tina said, it is safe to bake the Secrist pre-installed eyes.

If you are afraid of painting with the eyes already inserted, you can request the eyes separately.

I think many beginners are afraid of inserting the eyes in the doll.  Also some doll molds have more squinty eyes that make eye removal/insertion more difficult.  Secrist found a way to help those people by offering to pre-insert the eyes.

If you choose to remove the pre-inserted eyes, heat the vinyl so it is more pliable and then pop them out.  You could even do this as your vinyl is cooling after you heat your first paint layer.

I LIKE TO PUT MINE IN MYSELF.  ALSO I FOUND SOMETHING LATELY THAT I DO AND  IF I DON'T WANT TO PUSH THE EYES THROUGH THE OPENINGS, INSTEAD OF USING A SCALPEL BLADE, I GET A PAIR OF THE 5-6 INCH TITANIUM SCISSORS FROM wALMART...(SORRY, BUT I'M A WALMART SHOPPER BESIDES IN THIS LITTLE TOWN WE DON'T HAVE ANY NICE BIG STORES...SO IT'S OFF TO THE LITTLE WALMART FOR EVERYTHING.  ANYWAY YOU CAN PUT THOSE LITTLE SCISSORS IN THERE AND JUST CLIP IT RIGHT IN THE VERY SOFT THIN AREA.  THE GLASSES ARE SAFE UP TO 275.  THAT MAKES ME A BIT NERVOUS..OH..IF I EVER GET ANYTHING ON THE EYES  I TAKE A TINY BIT OF THINNER ON A Q TIP OR ALCOHOL AND CLEAN THEM OFF.  i'VE ONLY HAD TROUBLE WITH SILICONE.(i USE EYECO, BB OR SILICONE (I'M LIKING THAT CHUCK HAZEL A LOT AND DIDN'T THINK I WOULD.) I'VE GOTTEN LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS ON MY MOBY WITH THE DARKER HAIR AND  BLUISH EYES.  I STARTED WITH A LIGHTER SHADE AND DIDN'T LIKE HIM WITH THEM AT ALL..FINALLY TRIED THE BB NEWBORN DARK BLUE/GREY OR GREY...NOT SURE, BUT I'M GETTING A LOT OF NICE COMMENTS ON HIS EYES AND I'M LIKING THEM A LOT AND THEY HAD A BIG SALE..HEHE) i'M BAD AT TIMES GETTING GLUE ALL OVER THE EYES....HEY....!!!! I JUST TURNED 60 GIVE ME A LITTLE SLACK. AND I HAVE THE HARDEST TIME WITH THAT EYE GLAZE OR TEARS OR WHATEVER.I PUT IT ON THERE AND IT SITS THERE IN A BLOB THAT STARTS LOOKING LIKE CATERACTS!!!!!!! i'M TIRED...BYE...
