Tika doll questions.

Hi,

I just purchased the Tika doll head.   It is really beautiful.   I'm trying to find out what size eyes she will take.   Looks like 22 or 24 mm but I'm not sure which one to use.  Also, I have a question on Michelle's ethnic head painting in the special reborn tech. ency. part 1.

Nothing is really covered about veining or the purple wash.   I want to go ahead and put veins on the doll but this is my first A/A doll head and I'm not sure if I should do this.   Any information would be appreciated.   I love the translucency of the head.

Thanks in advance, confuse

Tika has 24mm eyes. And yes, go ahead and do veins on her.

Thank you,
I'm anxious to get starting on this one.   It's beautiful.
Thanks for your prompt response.

Also, depending on what shade of AA coloring you are doing on your Tika, if she's going to be one of the darker skinned AA's then you may want to forgo the internal wash. If Michelle doesn't cover the internal wash for the AA's then my guess is you wouldn't do it unless it's a lighter bi-racial baby.

Be sure to post pics in the artists showcase (or links in the other topic threads). :)

Thank you for the tip.   She is going to be a darker skin A/A baby.  I'll forgo the internal wash but do the veining.  Thanks again,
Frances

Good luck and have fun painting Tika. It's one of my favorite sculpts. I hope you'll post a picture in the Artist Showcase when your doll is finished.
