I haven't done it myself, but I read someone else say on another forum that she got it by putting a lot of Aleene's Paper Glaze on, and then stirring it with a paintbrush. It takes like 2 days to dry since it's so thick. I saw a baby she did it on, and it is amazingly realistic. Try that and let me know how it goes!

If you take your baby tears and put it in a small pot / use your pallet take a very small ended straw to blow air bubbles into it you can gently lift the bubbles out and place them on the mouth of your baby and leave to dry. I have done this on my baby and unfortunately the bubbles popped before setting si I guess its trial and error. Give it a go and let me know how you got on or if you have heard of another method since your original post. Hugs; Cathy

Well, I tried it, and it worked great! You can see pictures of the mouth under my latest custom baby.

Hi - I read on another forum that if you shake the bottle of baby tears it makes bubbles and you just let them flow into the mouth. Have not tried it. Sounds easy tho. Sandy
An online friend of mine finally got some really nice saliva bubbles after trying for an entire day. They are dry now and they look so real in the photos.

Shake it really hard, and it will form a few bubbles along the rim of the bottle and in the lid. I usually get 1-2 good bubbles per shake. And yes, they do pop a lot. You have to be very careful and lift the glaze around them, not actually touching the bubble. So yes, it's time intensive, but the results are so worth it.

I have done them with Paper glaze and a syringe with tiny needle - you get those from the pharmacy.
You apply the glaze and wait for it to nearly try....just get sticky... then insert the syringe carefully and inject a little air at a time at different places...
When it is completely dry - about a day - i put a thin layer of glaze over again as this strenghten the bubbles
i got my first saliva bubble today,my youngest shook up my aleenes paper glaze and when i saw the bubbles i managed to get one on my babys mouth.that was 4 hours ago and so far so good. sage
just an update--- my saliva bubble lasted but i'm not sure how practical it is for babys you're selling because when i was putting more aleenes on it 2 days later i used my finger to move the glaze around and the bubble collapsed . i truely didn't apply any presure. what happens when the new mommy is changeing clothes and such? maybe its me,did i do something wrong? sage ps. it's still a great look
I'm so sorry the bubble collapsed, but I really appreciate hearing about your experience with it. While those bubbles are an excellent idea to make a doll appear to be real, I wondered how practical the bubbles would be.

well i gave it another go,this time i put some aleenes paper on jamals inner lip and with a diabitic syringe shot some air into the glaze. it made two lovely bubbles which are still going strong .....3 days...... the only problem was i didn't position him right so they slide further in his mouth but they're still there. sage

the bubbles are still there, yeah. because they slide further into his mouth they seem like just saliva until you realy look. i will definitly do it again. sage
MJ, this is a post on how the others have made the bubbles. You dcont type your question over on the left hand side you have to go to MIsc, chatter and start a new topic or as I have done click on search and type in what you want to know, it usually has been discussed some where in there.
