I've read in a few places that you use a warm rice sock inside the hear when rooting. Yes or no? Do you use one no matter how head or soft the head is?confuse Thanks for you help. Have a good evening!

You really don't NEED a rice sock with the Secrist vinyl because it is already soft enough to get a good rooting job. But some prefer because it comes out even better!

I have my rice sock made of some soft denim, and one of an old nylon kneehigh stocking doubled.

3 minutes in the micro with a cup of water beside it so it doesn't scortch.

I never use one with the BB vinyl as it is overly soft to begin with. Other vinyls and such I can't speak of as it's personal preferrence.

I've been rooting the Adrie Stoete doll Audrey, and I think her head is very soft, particularly around the crown of the head. I've learned how to deal with it though.

Some kits are soft here and there because their vinyl is poured unevenly. If you look inside while holding it up to the light you might be able to see what I'm talking about.
I have a few of Adrie's kits but haven't started on them yet.
