Hello Ladies- I was wondering is anyone has any good tips on appyling nail tips (applying the white part)? I am horrible at them I know there has to be an easier way. Also when I apply my GHS paint (before I bake) people say they can remove the layer if they don't like the outcome but I can't seem to remove the paint (even before I bake) it just won't come off. How do you ladies the paint do if you aren't happy with a layer? Thanks again
You can remove the paint with paint thinner if you don't like a layer. Just wet a sponge with thinner and wipe the paint off. (It only works before you bake it.) As for the nails, use a very thin liner brush and flesh 08 to do the tips. I like to thin the paint a bit so that it doesn't end up looking like a French manicure. It does take practice, but if you don't like the way one of the tips looks, just wipe it off right away and start over.
If I don't like the nail paint, I also remove it with thinner and a q-tip. When you paint nails, a big magnifying glass on a stand is a must. Paint the tip with a liner brush and if you don't get the line straight, us a toothpick to remove any extra.
Definately do not use white. We are not giving our babies French nail tips lol As Heather said, use flesh 08. I either don't thin mine down or if I do I use the Genesis thinning medium. It flows on smoother that way. Be sure to thoroughly mix your paint before trying to paint with it. Also you can put on a thin layer of the glazing gel on the nails first, then your nail end with the 08, then bake as usual. That way it glides on too.
I agree, use a magnifier for the nails. Even my bifocals on my glasses don't work well for that any more hehehe
Thank you ladies for all the advice! I tried the flesh 08 on my last baby with a thin liner brush, I like the look much betterwith the 08. I guess it takes a little pratice to get them just right but I'm working on it! Happy Holidays! Tina
