the whole mottled look is beautiful and there are so many ways to achieve this but i have learnt a great tip from another reborner and its SO SO SO SO easy and leaves a fantastic result.
go all and attack your sponges with tweezers (and dont forget the edges)
(I had to make your pics into links instead because of no pics unless they are in the artist showcase). to make your pics into links just paste your pic code, then remove the "[IMG]" from the link on both ends.
I have been teaching tonight and showed them your Secrit, and once I do a few with Gensis, we'll be trying it, Thanks Rach. My daughter Samantha lives not far from you and visits every other weekend. Maybe she could have coffee with you or meet at the duck pond.
Natural sea sponges are FABULOUS, WONDERFUL, WOW! That is what I use on all my babies. But make sure it's not a silk or synthetic, not the same. And you can pick your hole size :)
Oh yeah Tiina... use a sponge the appropriate size of your doll parts. I mean you wouldn't want to use a large sponge on a preemie! lol
I was wondering how a make up sponge would go if you punched out holes with a hole punch, in varing sizes. would that work the same. I think I will try it anyway. XXX June.
I tried this technique on my last baby with a cosmetic wedge and my trusty tweezers. WOW what a beautiful and easy way to achieve that mottled look. I had a tough time before but this was a breeze . I do want to try the sea sponge though I bought a few cheap ones (don't do that they give you the look you want) I'm going to try the natural ones. Can't wait to see that outcome!
