It's sometimes nice to get someone elses students (providing they are willing to learn from someone other than who they started with). And if they come back, or recommend you to others that really speaks to your teaching abilities! And even if you get only a 1% return on your cards you hand out that is a good thing too!

I like the idea of practicing on spare/test limbs. That works too. Most people are afraid I think of putting the idea out there that you can use test limbs!

Hmmmm chicken and salad? Sounds yummy!

Pat B. I just had my first session and the two ladies loved being here and having Dinner and coffee, We did it with inks tonight as they have tried Genesis with the other and as I haven't all the colours needed, we did inks toninght and they were thrilled. Once we move and set up properly, I think I will get a few to do both Porcelain and Vynals either way it will keep me busy. And have a bit of fun besides. Oh by the way we neerly had a fire. ,the first oven blew up after the second baking and the second cought the towel and set it one fire. Lucky we got to it straight away.

Well the two babies are finished and they look lovely, if I may say so. The new mummy's are coming back to do more and have already booked into do Porcelain classes. They were thrilled with the results. Also one of the girls sisters from Sydney wants to do three just after xmas(Porcelain) so I will clean and fire before she arrives, so that her stay is a very exciting time. I have done Hannah and combined my inks and enesis heat set paint and she looks sweet with her dark hair. And I did a cheep, shop bought with genesis and she is looking OK as well. But I did put a bit of Ink on her face last thing to get the blochy appearence. They worked well together. June

Glad to hear things are going well for you with the new students June! And some porcelains? GREAT!!
You do know that Genesis says their paints must not be used with any other paints or inks didn't you? They said not to use anything else with/on/under their paints. I hope those babies don't come down with a case of issues down the road :o Just thought you'd like to know. I'm sure I've posted a few times before about this.

But good to see that you are still getting people for the porcelains :)
Post the ones that the ladies just did in artist showcase. You can put them in a topic like teaching or student dolls.

I'll do that. Theirs were only done in ink, but I had A supplier that said I could used heat set Matt Varnish, and because on Hannah by Elly I had only done the shading and read where you mentioned abut silacone dolls needed silacone paints , I didn,t think I could wreck it too much, and if I did I would be my fault, but my next will be Zoe, and all Genesis. Should the shin be a rought texture, I know I only painted a cheap doll ,because I had to build up my courage, bur I think I have over come my fears. I didn,t want to have another Pheobe.I will do her in the next 3-4 babies. When I read the hints on painting Rosie, it said you only used % drops of solvent, but this doesn't look as thin as when I watched the DVD on Genesis Heat Set paints where the lady had madeit look watery. Should I thin it a bit more? June.
