She's a total cutie, Anna. Reborning is so much fun, isn't it? :) Please show us more pictures of your little darling in the Artist Showcase, which is actually the only place you are supposed to post pictures. About your baby, the main thing I would change is her eyelashes. They could use trimming. I can't tell very well from the picture, but it appears that they are bit too curved up. We all make mistakes, and I think you did quite well for your first. Posing babies turns out better when they have something under their head. This is especially true on the Zoe sculpt, I think. Anyways, she's adorable, and I hope you greatly enjoy her.

P.S. Keep her, never ever sell your first baby!! It's so much fun to look back and see how much you've improved with each baby.

Hello Anne Marie, It is a total pleasure that we are on the forum together,, Your baby is so georgeous and the only comment ,not to hinder, but to help, is that her eye lashes are too long, even though a lot of newborns do have long lashes. Colour wise I love them darker lashes frame the eye. Where blond seems to take away, Love her outfit and can see it is hand made. I put one in comp a couple of months ago and lost 3 points for not dressing her myself, well done. weirdfacejune M from Oz     By the way you don't have to worry about where you have posted them this time ,When Pat B , comes back onto the sceen she will just shift them to the right place.

hi anne marie, i think your little one is rather darling i would agree with rosemarie about the eyelashes though. I'd trim them back -- try to time them to be a little uneaven to each other and not dead blunt to each other... if that makes sense?? it just gives a little more natural look - one lash slightly shoter than the next etc.

i guess the other thing to think about withyour next baby is to hand root the eyelashes of your sleeping ones. This is the way to get the most realistic look on your little sleeping beauties.

fake eyelash strips are still the most common way of lashing opened eyes babies though.

anyway, welcome to the forum. Everyone is very lovely and friendly here and if we can be of any help with little tips and tricks we're all usually very happy to share our secrets or experiances.

look forward to seeing you around more on the forum and getting to know you

Hello, great to here from you and know you  have offerd helpful hints, its greatly appreciated.  another lovely  person  has mentioned the eyelashes and they are about to be  trimmed. im not brave enough to root them yet, maybe  later on when i have more experience, you have  sutch beautiful hair on your babies, i mentioned to another lady i wonder  how they would look with human hair, maybe it would be a bit course? i enjoy makeing clothes for the  reborn dolls, every little dress is also a joy, bit strange though after  makeing adults clothes. im wanting to try one with  open eyes but im still a bit scared about that. its sutch a lovely place to come to for advice im so glad i wrote to secrist or i wouldnt have found it. i have  made  Matilda from  watching the secrist  DVD on reborning.  have a lovely and thank you.   Anne Marie

Human hair is extremely difficult to root as it is much more fragile than human hair. I tried once and failed miserably! Perhaps on a super soft vinyl it wouldn't be as difficult? I say give it a try and see what *you* think!
