I have a new cordless mouse that wants to run away on me, and a black keyboard, whichis very difficute to ise in the dark, as I don't want to wake up the whole house, so forgive the spelling mistakes, ans if I have to I will currect them, but only if I notice them, otherwise you,ll nave to interperate what I mean.((( THANK YOU ALL)))June M from Oz.
I love my cordless mouse...would be lost without it! As for typing in the dark, I guess that is not too much of a problem with me. As a high school student my mother thought I should become a secretary... they didn't know about dyslexia back then (1960s) so I took typing classes, shorthand, all that good tripe. The fact that I couldn't spell, still can't spell, we tell you all how successful that was. However, I did learn to touch type so that I don't have to look at my keyboard to type. I still don't spell well, but I have improved a little and most of the time I get spell check.... I STILL WANT SPELLCHECK HERE!!!!... so it's not as bad as it was 40 years ago! So June, tap away... I'll figure it out. I'm good at puzzles. Pat C.

OK, You've spelt that out loud and clear, only trouble my computer is in the bed room at the moment, and I haven,t had to learn to tuch type. So all lights go on and I wake the whole house(((LOL)))June M
Pat C i have the same problem with spelling, i still struggle. Half my typing is typos but a good lot is also just my spelling sucks.
I'm quite smart in that i got high distictions and distinctions in my uni studies (done 1/2 a psych degree and one year primary education) but when it comes to spelling its something i've never been able to just "get". I've tried and tired to improve and i have somewhat but there are some really simple words that i still continue to get wrong no matter how many times i try and learn them, they simple float out my head the moment i step away from studing of them... they just wont stick.
other times i think too fast for my typing or type to fast for my thinking i'm not sure and i go back and re-read my posts and see i've written "and" instead on "an" and silly things like that... i figuer, you all can work out what i mean in the end though.
I use a laptop so I have the tracking pad! I love it! I rarely use a full size computer anymore!
I also touch type. One of my 5th graders was watching me and she was amazed at how *fast* I was. Of course, she is comparing me to someone pecking and hunting!
