Hi, I am new here and this is the first time I have reborn a doll that already had eyes. Could someone tell me if I can leave them in and bake the paints on in the oven or do I have to take them out and insert them back later? Thanks!

I don't know anything about that doll. Were you planning to change the eyes? If the present eyes are not the most realistic, I would reccomend you change them. It makes a huge difference in the finished baby. And do all the painting while the eyes are out. Then you won't have to worry about them melting or something like that.

most dolls that come with eyes already inserted are not safe to bake with exception to secrist they insert bakable eyes i would suggest you remove them before baking just in case they are not heat proof hun (((hugs)))

Thanks for your help. I will take the eyes out and replace them with Secrist eyes. That is probably the best thing to do and then there will be no surprises
You are correct! All eyes that come in commercial dolls are not bakable! So far the only eyes I know of that are bakable are Secrist Real Eyes, glass eyes, and eyes made from polyclay.
I do know that the Jesmar eyes are not bakable as I have one. Also, the Berenguer eyes in the dolls. They also have synthetic eyelashes and will wilt or melt in the oven/with heat.
