tiny doll eyes
Permalink

I have a tiny doll that I want to reborn.  It's about 9" long.  It has open eyes, and I would like to replace them.  The eye socket, though, measures about 3/4 of a millimeter across.  Does anyone know where I would find such tiny eyes?  If such eyes don't exist, what other option do I have?  Is repainting fairly easy?  I don't know how to repaint them, so I would love any tips you may have.  Thanks.

Do you mean 3/4 of a centimeter?

3/4 of a millimeter is the size of a small seed bead.

Ooops! LOL! Yes, I meant 3/4 of a centimeter, or about 8 mm. Glad you noticed that. :)

Ooooh, I like the blue-gray/hazel eyes.... they look JUST LIKE my kids' eyes!

Funny story -- I have brown eyes, my husband has hazel eyes (mostly look brown but sometimes have a greenish tint), and out of our 6 kids we have:

1 with green eyes (my oldest daughter)
1 with brown eyes (my middle daughter)
and 4 (yes, 4!) with BLUE eyes!

Talk about a strong recessive trait, eh?!? My mother and my husband's father both have blue eyes; my father and his mother have brown.

I'm anxious to see if my blue-eyed children eventually turn green. smile.gif
