I don't like the hair on my doll Audrina at all, so I was wondering how can I get it all out of her head. I really want to take it out and reroot it. Thanks for any help.
I think you cut off close to the head and soak the inside of the head in warm water to soften the glue and remove it. Similar to removing glue from jam jars.June M from Oz
Have you sealed it yet? If not you can just pull it out. If you have sealed it thenI would peel the glue off the inside. It might be easier if you cut it first (carefully) to pull it out. Depending on the glue you may or may not have get it warm first.
i just pull really hard til i get most of it out, then i squeeze the head lots and lots, eventually the glue inside will start to lift from the vinyl - then i peel all this from the inside, it will often peel off in one or two big bits. this also pulls more of the hair roots out through the inside of the head
if you have any fuzzy random hairs left then, just use a razor and shave the last little bits off. this will cut the hair off at scalp level. Now you should be right to start over.

I also have a question about mohair. This is my very first time reborning. I've painted him now I started rooting. Not to crazy on how it's looking . Can I pull it out and start all over again? I think I'm using a one barb needle. But when I do glue it when I'm done will the glue run out of the holes that maybe If I don't put mohair back in the same spot? I'm doing Joey from BB . Thanks ladies for any help. Have a nice day!! Linda
The vinyl should close up. You may have marks on the outside but I doubt the glue will go through. Just yank it out and start over. I've done it myself!
Loves is right the vinyl closes back in on itself so you don't have to root back in the exact same spot -- i imagine this would be quite impossible to do! for your glue to come back out through the whole you'd be needing to use something the width of a pen or having been rooting with a drill bit ... and i'm pretty sure your not doing that *giggles*. I've pulled out the hair of a number of babies and started over. I've changed my mind after i've finsished a baby and gone back and chaged it from black to blonde hair or vise-versa.
Thanks ladies for your advise. I'm hoping to send pictures of my doll and I painted and how I've started rooting the head. This is my first one I've ever done. My fience is going to help me with the pictures because I don't want to do anything to guff up his computer. HA! HA! You know how that goes!!! I will be greatful for any advise. Naomi I was looking through other sites and I saw the one with you and your toddler. Wonderful picture. Could you tell me were I could go to look at maybe toddler size dolls? How do you bake one that size? Thanks again for your help.
