Is that the one from reborn australia kits sammi? if so i think it is the same vinyl i had with little faith its very much like secrist vinyl but it does have a slight orange tinge i did a soft blue wash on mine to correct it and i also used a rice sock to do the hair as the vinyl was a bit harder not much but a little bit (((hugs)))

Is that the one from reborn australia kits sammi? I Brought it thru lyns here in australia, she has all kits listed under their respective artist.

If it is the same one do i correct the orange tone by doing an internal wash or an external was, this is going to be my first non secrist kit, so im a bit confused as to what i really need to do.

Just editing this post i have heard back from kirsty and it is the same vinly as faith it isnt as translucent as secrist so i would do your wash externaly thats what i did mind you im an extremly fussy reborner a slight hint of orange or pink and im in there with a wash you may find the colour of the vinyl to be ok and not need a wash some people do it without, so take a look when you get it and then decide (((big hugs)))

Isn,t Tommy a Margaret Mousa sculpt. If so, She won best of show with her original reborn at Winter Wonderland in Brisbane ,Qld. I think shes done about four or five originals. weirdface

there is a tommy from margret mousa yep but this tommy is ros johnsons new sculpt he is really cute he was released a few weeks ago ((hugs))

TEA, I am ordering Pheobe to do maybe for the cover contest, with the Genesis petite paints, with the 2 new peaches and cream ,and the other three lips and shading. You can see I,m not up to date with many sculps, ask me anything about porcelain and I usually have an answer. know names and sizes and sculpters, but with reborns ,it,s another world. I had that many little tubes of paint for them and used to mixing my own colours, so that every doll had a different skintone and lip colour, I never went by their colour charts. Maybe it,ll be the same once I get into this a bit more. weirdface

I have a hard time keeping up with the reborn sculpts myself hun your definetly not alone there, especialy since some of them have the same names hehehe, i have found i use my own mix of colours etc now, i think youll find once youve learnt the art it will be very much like your porcelain painting we all seem to develop our own unique ways of doing things, thats why its so lovely to come to a forum and share the ways in which we do things we can certainly learn alot from eachother :) (((hugs)))

I certainly, have learnt a lot from the forum, I can type faster, and with all the comments am learning new things every day, love to see all the lovely reborns that are being done, from you TEA, Naomi, Sammi, Heather and all the others ,i havent mentioned. Thanks for sharing. weirdface

Well my tommy sculpt came in the post today, i must say im a bit dissapointed in him. hes head is very oddly shaped (very flat on one side and rounded on the other) and his ears are 2 different shapes, his limbs are very short for 3/4 lenght, maybe im just being picky because hes my third baby and im use to the secrist sculpts beeing in proportion, i spose i will see how he goes when painted, ill keep everyone updated.
