Storage pots for Genesis paint

I bought some of the little storage pots from Secrist and I have had my paint in them for about a month. The thing is the lids are stuck fast as the paint appears to be melting the plastic. Surely this shouldn't be happening?

Could anyone let me know if they have experienced the same or similar problem with the jars please?

I haven,t experienced that but I use ink and have purchased the little clear pots and the top of the lid fits into a rim and my paint leaks if it tips, I don,t know how they would be with the Genesis paints as they are a thicker paint, you could try them.weirdfaceJune M from Oz

OH MY!! They are not SUPPOSED to do that! Send an urgent e-mail to: gabe@secristdolls.com and tell him the problem! Make sure you put in the subject line "URGENT REPLY NEEDED!" so he'll get back to you right away with an answer.

I presume since you said you purchased them from Secrist that you ordered online right from their website??

Yes I ordered them from the website, I live in Spain but my husband ordered goes to NY and picked up my order.

I have noticed that since I transferred the paint it has become ever so slightly harder too.

I cannot open 4 of the pots as the paint has melted the thread!!

They are not in the office Fri thru Sun so they probably will see your e first thing Mon or Tues. If you don't hear from someone by Thurs 2 pm, I would call them. Sometimes the e-mails get eaten by mutant e-mail gremlins from ......... :o

I haven't tried the plastic storage pots. I just save all the tiny little glass jars that you get holiday jams and mustards in (you know, the tiny ones that come in gift packs). They work out well and then I am recycling!

Hello Little Pumpkim, The other thing I thought about was going to a chemist shop and asking if they have small ointment jars, these are usually made from glass.weirdfaceJune M from Oz
