Using odd colors
Permalink

Like I said before in my "monkey" thread, I like to think outside the box when making things...and I was wondering if there are any shiny, metallic, sparkly, or glittery paints out there that can be used on these doll kits?

Of course I would pain the doll the normal colors and make it look like a real baby and then just tweek it a little...anyone know of any paints that I could use for that?

I really appreciate you guys being so helpful and patient with me and all of my goofy questions wink

I've seen ppl use gliter paints on fairy babies but i'm not sure what it is they use. I've also seen some ppl paint gothic looking or even demon babies using metalics and such. I assume they mostly use acrylic bases paints with this, but i'm only having a guess

You could probably use acrylic paints for this.

Thanks so much...can acrylic paint be cooked? Or is it just applied after it's been cooked?

You would have to apply after you were done cooking. I'd be careful with acrylics, they do funny things over time...

Oh okay, thanks for the heads up...Well, I don't know what to do. What I am really looking for are pastels in shimmery pink, blues, greens, yellows...I have no idea where or what to look for though...

Loves is right; acrylics can't be cooked. I do have one strange thought, but I am not sure if it would work. You could try mixing shimmer make-up (the powders) with a bit of Genesis paints and try that on a test part. But I have no idea if that's safe...

Thanks so much. I will check that out.
I actually thought about adding makeup to some paint but wasn't too sure :)
