the preemie limb sets don't have much bend in them which means they arnt as possitionable - i'd love if the 3/4 length arms had a little more bend at the elbows - to me they're too straight which can leave the baby looking too stiff.
Buffington, could this be somthing the secrist could consider??
I agree completely. I like the bent limbs from the cititoy dolls, but I can't find those any more. Maybe Secrist could do something a bit more like that.
Would it work better if they were bent at the angle like the 3/4 Corey limbs for the 22" kits?
I can send the request to the Secrist. I have put it on my list to send :)
See, part of the bending thing or doing things that other companies do is a matter of flexibility. You see, a lot of the other companies use silicone with their vinyl and that is something Secrist will NOT do as the silicone is toxic when baked (in dolls anyway). So they do what they can within their restrictions.
But we'll see what they can do. They do have new limbs coming out later this year for the 17" and the 22" babies. Maybe whatever is in the works is what you will need! :)
yes like the 3/4 corey limbs would be nice. I understant that it would make it harder for ppl to do internal veining etc but it would make the baby more natural to pose and be able to put hands near the faces etc.
i didn't mean a flexable bend like with the s/v mix squishy vinyls - i meant a preemie limb option that is sculpted with a bent elbow area - just like with the bigger corey limbs. Maybe this is what they have already planned though with the limbs that they are planning for the 17" bub's.... i hope so.
