I don't know if I posted him before but here is one of my student's first baby. She chose a Gumdrop. She said he looks just like her son when he was born. She named him JP (short for John Paul, her son's name). I hope you like him. I think she did exceptionally well for her very first baby and not ever having painted anything before, let alone a doll.
And in posting these pics it shows some of the newbies how to post them and what the pics should look like... clear and crisp is best, natural lighting (like near a window), and also when you are ready to post your pics, don't go to the insert/edit image picture above here, you go to the bottom of this frame where you are typing and there are some boxes. You just click in the box marked attach image. That will bring up some boxes and it will say browse in a click link box. when you cllick on that it'll allow you to just take pics off your computer and then when you're done just select upload. and then submit post. That way too it won't make your pics so small and we can click on them to see them better.
I hope this helps some of you that have been having issues.

Thank you Ronel! Because of this student I may be getting more students, or at least orders. JT is at my home for a while as my student is selling her home and didn't want him packed in a box or to get damaged (or picked up by any strangers lol). She said he can go in the nursery with my babies. It's nice to be trusted like that.
Yes, she is an exceptional student, although 2 other of my students's babies came out nice like that too. My classes are usually on the weekends and 1 9 hour class or 2 4 1/2 hour classes. It's plenty of time to get one baby done (not rooted of course but I do show how to root before they leave).
Tina your two Taffy pics are lovely, you have done a great job. Wendy I love your Baby also, the only thing I noticed with your dress is that you have used nylon lace but on the sleeves you have used cotton. It is best to use the same laces depending on the material you use. After being in the doll industry for over twenty odd years, you learn on how they judge dolls and there clothing. I have only put one reborn into competion and she got 95/100, and that was because I used bought cloths, which I was told was exceptable. Her painting and pose is lovely. XXXXX June
Bernadette, I love your babies, can I just point out a few things that I hope is helpfull. Your little boy is just lovely all done up for a wedding (or that is what it looks like. The little girl with the Bonnet, I think the brim is too wide and detracts from her lovely face. Thw one with the chest plate is cute. I noticed that when you have placed some of your eyebrows, they have been higher than the brow line. It is quite easy to find this by using your thumb, place it over the eye and you should feel a brow line, draw a fine line with alead pencil and the same on the othe side ,you should get an even pair. When you start painting hold the end of the brush along the side of the nose to the tear duct this is where you should start, and you should finish just past the end of the eye slit or opening. Try using finer strokes also. I realy hope this is helpfull. XXXXXXX June.
The Secrist Hayden sculpt has always been one of my favorites. I like him with the darker skintone and black/dark hair. Mine has wavy brown hair. I like the baby with the tummy plate too!
Hi Guys, Meet Bay Joshua, he is now completed although my camera is a little dodgy. I will be posting more pics soon, he also has a belly plate which I will take some pics of when my camera is sorted. He has scratched his face. He has rooted eye lashes and hand painted hair which looks kind of red on here but is a light brown in reality. I would appreciate your comments and tips of how I may improve. Thanks Guys Hugs; Cathy

From what I can see, baby Joshua looks as cute as a button. I would love to see the hair in more detail if you can figure out how to take a close up photo. My camera is not usually my friend, and I hope you have better luck with yours!

Hi All....Just new here so I hope this works.....This is my first baby.....I made the clothes too.....Not very professional, but I am getting better......Wendy
OOOOhhhh! I would like to have this kit and also Arianna. I don't know, when I will have money to buy them. I have my birthday soon and we are going to Vienna (Austria) for my bithday with my husband. So it is a lot of time to my dream!
Oh My, Vienna (Austria)? Have fun! It is beautiful there, my daughter went there on her trip to Germany. Yes, I think we all do a lot of dreaming about the kits we want, I know I do hehehe
I can't anything wrong with her, her pics are not that clear but then neither or mine, I just can't get a nice clean clear photo of the reborns, no matter how hard I try. She is lovely. I was looking at buying one of those Halloween Pumpkims but they where $3.99 per KG so I thought I'd give that a miss. XXXXXX June.
ONe way to get clearer pics is not to hold your camera. Even though I thought my hands were very steady, they still shook and my pics would still be a little blurry. Try setting your camera on a little stool or sturdy box and just tilt/tip it towards your subject and shoot. See if that helps
I'm thinking that the photos would possibly be clear enough to show more detail if the lighting was better. From what I can see, I really like what you've done with Taffy.
Linda
