Glue removal?

I recently bought a Lee Middleton head to reborn and I removed the wig, but I am having trouble getting the glue off. All of the other dolls (AD and PG) that I have removed wigs from had glue that came off with acetone, but that isn't working with this one. (The acetone turned the glue white, but didn't remove it.) The glue is hard and clear, almost like hot glue, but it almost seems like it is pressed into the vinyl rather than being on top. Does anyone have any experience with the Middleton dolls or with glue like this?

Heather, Got a heat gun?  I've removed glue from doll heads by heating the glue and rolling the warm glue off the surface with my fingers... or a cloth rag.

Good idea! Another one is to heat the head in hot water and then "peel and roll" the glue.
