Hello there.... I've done a couple of the "orange" kits and I learned to correct the color by doing a purple internal wash... it seemed to help out just fine.   Maybe you can try that as well.  Cat And Mouse Tail

others sware by doing a mint green outer wash to colour correct....

i personally have a very different system. I will pounce a thick cover of flesh 08, 07 and pyrrole red 08 - mixed to look soft baby pink in colour. I'll mix this with Achival olis solvent (this thinner does not leave a chalky residue when using the paints thickly as other solvents tend to) to a yogurt like consistency. As said i'll pounce this all over the vinyl pieces and cook-set them. It will set as a light creamy/white base skin tone. I'll then work as normally with thinner paint mixes. I've always had beautiful results using this self formed technique even on the most orange of vinyls.

My very first suggestion is to get yourself a good colorwheel! http://www.secristdolls.com/inc/sdetail/34863
This will be invaluable to anyone for color corrections!
