Pat, couldn't we have a section where people could post pictures of their dolls? If it was in a section specifically addressing pictures, people with dial up wouldn't have to open it unless they wanted to so it wouldn't slow down anything for them. Please!!!!

I'll check with the office after they get back from the St Louis show ok? ;) AND I will give them the "why we want..." so that hopefully help. We could maybe have an "in progress" topic and a "show off your babies" section.
OOOOO Danielle!! GREAT name for the topic!!!! "Artist Showcase"! with a sub-heading of the "in progress" under the show off your babies. And under both we could have a section for sculpts too (both in progress and finished)!
Good idea!!!
So lets see how many will post on this idea and see just how many would like this. Of course there would be rules on posting, size, and I'll see if it would be just Secrist dolls or "all" dolls we are working on or have done.
my hand is raised yes please!!!!!! we could have a secrist section and other doll section maybe? we do get alot of questions about other sculpts here and i think it would be great to have both sections :)

thts a great idea!! i wood love to see other ppl's dolls and the many different ways they can look..it shood deff be secrist dolls and other dolls..its so fun looking at all doll scuplts..im realli looking forward to this happening.. i realli hope it does happen :]
A section to put your pics would be very welcome. And different sub catagories would be a bonus. Maybe even different sections for doll related items, like the bodies Pat B. made or clothes that are made for de babies.
yes heather it is (was) Lillian from Antonio Juan. Although she has berrenguer limbs and the Lillian doll comes the limbs already pre-sewn on the body slip and do not have groves for cable-tie attachment, which makes them impossable to use if painting with genesis - the oven heat would turn the body slip brown and weaken the fabic strength when cooking on the paints. And they are not possible to attach to a new body given they have no groves for attachment.
Lillian isn't an expensive sculpt though and even with buying new limbs she remains cheaper than many other artist sculpts out there.
however its a beautiful face sculpt to work with, i've done 2 from this sculpt - one for my grandmother done with blonde curls to look allot like the Lillian prototype, and the one in my avatar was sold at auction on ebay.
All this said I'm about to change my avatar to a secrist baby.
Hi Naomi, ive done 2 of the berenger with sewn on legs and arms, I unpicked them and when they were finished being painted ,I,d made a new body and used a fine wire to reattach with tacky glue, after it was all together, I used craft glue and put lace arround the arms and legs that works out well, you can also put a stich over and under the wire to keep it in place.
