I am just getting started on reborn making. I am trying to figure out the neck/arm/leg flanges. I have ordered a Zoe doll with body. In order for his/her neck and arms/legs to turn will I also need flanges? When ordering my doll I did not see any flanges offered on the Secrist site. Can anyone help me out with this? I have ordered a DVD, paints and other items to get started but was wondering about flanges. I am impatient and would hate to have to wait to get the rest of my doll parts that I might need :) Thank you

No Laura, you don't need no stinkin' flanges! smile  Sorry, couldn't resist! wink  But on the serious side, no you won't need any.  The body that comes with your doll will have cable ties where the head and limbs will be attached and the body parts are made with a channel into which you will snug the body parts and a lip at the end of the body part will keep the tie secure.  I don't know if I described it correctly/clearly, but you will see when you get your kit.  Enjoy youself!!

Thank you so much Pat. I read about those flanges, was very worried. Thought I had better ask. I am so excited to get my kit. The dolls are soooo beautiful. I cannot wait to make some babies for myself. :)

If you want your limbs to turn in the cloth body just make sure you snug but not make the cable ties really tight. I usually snug, check, snug more, check just to get it where I want it.

Like Pat C said, you'll see when you get your kit! You'll love our babies!

I do sooooo love The Secrist Kits and paints. So easy to use. I have the painting and coloring of my babies down fairly good but am working on learning the rooting technics, not so easy for me. Thank you for these nice kits, paints and all the help that is provided.
