I have the DVD 'The Art of Newborning', and I am wondering if anyone else has been a little dissapointed with the filming?
I found I was always waiting for the close up shots which shown were great, but I was always thinking 'don't show him show me' he's been doing this for yonks!
While benificial I just felt that the camera work wasn't involved enough. What do others think?
That was our very first DVD production on the subject. We have since come out with the Classroom training DVD's (beginner - with CD, and advanced). We are now calling Art of...1 an overview. The new classroom one is fantastic on closeups and 3 camera angles! And it stops after every section and you can choose what you want to watch!
yes i found it the same . sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the close up and therfore feeling like i was left with unanswered questions. like all dvds and books theres always the next edition and i suppose with reborn doll artistry there is so much knowledge and as everyone to some degree , has there own way of doing it, theres always something new to learn.thats where these forums come in handy.
I bought the beginner dvd and that one is great . I would definatly recommend it to anyone . I think i must have worn it out as i played on my portable dvd player whilst i was painting and i just kept going over the same part time and time again so it was fresh in my mind . The close up shots are great on it too . Also having the free tutorial disc helped too as it went a little more in depth to the actual dvd . Thumbs up from me definatly ..
I purchased the one to do the Genesis Heat Set Paints and it was okay. It was good for starting but most of that information is available on the internet now, anyhow.
