cryer doll

hello everyone,
I have got a cryer doll by Donna Rubert whose head sits on a shoulder plate.
The hole in the head is only about 1 centimetre across so I can't get a brush in there to spread the glue after rooting.
Pat (the moderator) told me to add some water in the glue to thin it down and swish it around in the head.
I didn't want to try this on the doll in question until I had tried it on a doll which I could still get at, sort of my guinea pig baby, LOL.biggrin.gif  I tried it on my oliver doll but the glue didn't seem to go far enough. Also the glue started to soak away from the front of the hairline.
If I had made the glue any thicker It wouldn't have rolled around in there and if I had made it any thinner it seems that it wouldn't hold. Also I didn't want to put in to much glue for fear of it not drying properly as you can't see in there at all.
Any ideas please as I am really puzzling over this one.
Pat if you read this any additional tips would be great,  I know your idea must work but I am a little nervous with this one.confused
Thanks, Karen.

Karen,

Can you post a link to your doll neck opening? And if so can you put a ruler next to it so I can see just how small the opening is and if we can do anything else? I just want to get a visual so I know. Also let me see a front neck view if possible.

I know you said you can't see inside but I want to know what kind of brush we can use. I'm thinking to do the "not so much" thinning of the glue but to also get down in there with a brush to move it around more (like a fan brush perhaps).idea

Hi Pat,
I'm sorry to have bothered you but after reading your reply I had a little play around with the doll head and a little brush I found in my box and discovered that the vinyl around the hole in the head is a lot mors flexible than I first thought so hopefully I should be O.K nowbiggrin.
Thank you so much for your help and advice, I really appreciate it.
Karen. X
