Newbie and having trouble selecting the right mohair!

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum and fairly new to reborning.  I have did a total of 3 babies and due to limited finances at the time, I used the same hair on all 3 (lol).  I am now wanting to do 2 more but I don't know how to select the right mohair type/curl or where to buy the right mohair to get the look I want.

I wasn't sure if it was ok to post someone else pictures I had found on the internet so I will just post the links.

On one baby I would love to have these curls but I am having trouble finding curly.  Everything the advertise curly appears to be wavy in the pictures.

If anyone has successfully found mohair of this curl would you please inform me of where you purchased it.

I also want bigger curls like this one

This may sound silly but is this look achieved with wavy hair or is there actually mohair with big curls?

Any advise would be appreciated

Hello Peteyray and welcome to our family forum. We are glad to see you here.

If you go to this link: http://www.dollsbysandie.com/index.php?l=product_list&c=164 you will see curly mohair. I can tell you from experience that if it looks like this, you will get lots of curls. That is how it looks when it's processed. the shorter you cut it, the more curly it will become. I use wavy and when I gently wash and condition the hair (after rooting of course), just by moving it around and scrunching it, I get curls and deep waves.

As far as larger curls, the link you provided appears to show slightly wavy hair, but it seems to be manunipulated while wet to form the large curls. All I can say is to experiment with different hairs and see what you like best! You can also use the "search" feature at the top of each forum page (in the red bar) and just put in rooting, or hair, or something similar. Then hit enter on your computer or click the search and it should bring up all the topics on hair. Then you can just read through them to find what you want.
