Cloth body - HELP!

I have just finished baking my baby, she is a partial sculpt and will be joined to a cloth body, I have no idea how to attach her head and limbs to it!! Please help! :)
Thank you!

I haven't sculpted before, but I have thought about this when I considered it! I though that you could maybe make shapes from the clay, bake them and glue them on with strong glue. The shapes would have a part thinner than the end of the limb (a sort of deep channel going all the way around the end of where it would be attached to the end of the limb) where you could put the cable ties and then a sort of plug at the end to stop the limb sliding out of the cable tie. That might only make sense to me, I'm afraid I haven't described it very well, and you'd have to use really strong glue. I'm not sure if it would work or not but perhaps it would be worth a try? Something like the joining parts you get on vinyl kits, I suppose. I'm pretty (well, very) new to this but I hope I helped in some way :) Good luck!

I do understand what you mean! I've come up with a possible way, which does in fact involve superglue! I was thinking, because the limbs and head have little holes in them where they were held up by ****tail sticks in the oven, I was going to glue armature wire in the little holes and some how attach it to the body! That's as far as I have got so far!

That sounds like it would work- in fact, it could make her limbs sort of posable, too :) Good idea! I can't wait to see her, I bet she'll be beautiful :D

Thanks! I am very proud of how she turned out! Still waiting for my clay paint, so we've grinded to a temporary halt at the moment!

On your next mini, consider making those "deep creases" at the end of each limb and head to attach them without glue from the inside using a thin plastic ties or piece of thread ;) You've got every reason to be proud. You're a natural at this :)

I was thinking about that, saves all this kerfuffle!

I usually do the channels on the ends of my head and limbs too. I agree, saves a lot. Otherwise you would have to do like the ball jointed dolls or with a wooden disk and metal T to go into the head and the disk in the neck part of the body like I did with my porcelains.
