looking for a reborn teacher in Michigan
Permalink

Hello everyone...

I'm very new to the reborn world, and I would like to learn. I'm a "retired" cosmetologist & I love to paint. So I thought I would like to give reborning a try. However, I'm looking for a reborn artist offering classes in my area. I live in the Jackson/Lansing area of south central lower Michigan. Honestly I'd even be happy with a live one day seminar! I would be willing to travel somewhat around the state if needed, like the Detroit or Grand Rapids areas are fine.

If anyone knows someone that teaches & fits my location requirements, please let me know. I just would like to have someone in person teach me on my 1st one at least.

Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to help...

Sincerely, Michelle

p.s. I just bought my 1st finished reborn...and I wanna be able to make people smile like I did when I 1st saw my little guy! That's my Landon in the photo, created by Karen's Dreams in RI. He's a "Cora" sculpt by Adie Stolete(sp? lol)

Stephanie Sullivan of Hunnybuns nursery I think still teaches. I thought she lived in Michigan. She made the reborning DVD's for Secrist. You might want to start with one of the DVDs depending on what kind of baby you want to make.

Hi Michelle,

Stephanie Sullivan is going to do some reborning classes starting this month.  She  is in the Dayton, OH area.  And if you are interested in like a group class, there is always the classes at Sauder Village at the Doll Show in July.  I go to those.  I always have a great time no matter what.  Stephanie has been the teacher a few times there and last year, Pat Moultan was the teacher.  I learned alot from both of them.  And the doll show is great too!

I am originally from MI too.  Around the Battle Creek area.  My sister now lives in Jackson.  Small world.

Tami

I so wish I could take that class by Stephanie!!! I have the 2nd edition of her book & refer back to it (a lot!) I posted that topic back in May (I think) & since then, Lara Antonucci of R.E.A.L. announced she is going to do a 2 day live class (that I'm going to take) this coming July, in the Grand Rapids area. That's only just over an hour drive for me, so it's not too bad. I still would love to take Stephanie's class though too!

I've ordered from Stephanie's HunnyBuns supply a few times now & she's great. Fast shipping & her homemade soaps are WONDERFUL! Even my husband like them! I checked out the class schedule for that OH show too & I would love to take the sculpting with Pat Moulton. If only I had enough money to go & take those classes, but that's a big chunk of change, when you add everything like hotel, travel, food, & of course the show & classes! Guess I better start saving & maybe I'll get lucky & be able to go in 2013! Thanks for the info though anyway!
