I'm hoping someone can help me. I finished painting my Zoe (purchased at Hobby Lobby) yesterday. I used Authentic Reborn Peaches and Cream paints. I spent all day today rooting the hair and was beginning the eyelashes when I noticed the area above her lips (and directly below the angel's touch area) has turned yellow. There is also a lot of yellowing at her neck and at the base of the head where it would attach to the body slip. What would cause this? I'm very disheartened since I've put so much time into her. I'm attaching a picture. It doesn't show the yellow as dark as it actually is but maybe it will give someone an idea of what's gone wrong with my doll. Thank you in advance for any help and advice!
Bright Blessings,
Tren

I'm not quite sure what has happened with the yellowing on your kit. I have never gotten any reports of this. I will write to the factory and see if they have a solution. Or, you can always do a color wash in those areas to aleviate the issue. (see color wash in search).
Oh yeah, a ps... I will at some point remove your pic as we only post actual pics in the artist showcase. Links in all other topic threads. Thanks

Thank you for your help! I'll do a search for color wash. I apologize for placing the picture instead of a link. I was unaware of that rule because I'm new.
I think I may have stumbled across the cause of the yellowing but I'd love your opinion. I've also sent an email to support at Secrist. Yesterday, I decided to go ahead and finish the doll and give her to my daughter. I used Stephanie Sullivan's technique for straightening the hair as shown on the rooting dvd: spritzing with baby conditioner, brushing the hair and placing a knee high over the hair. The knee high I used was off white. After the hair dried, I removed the knee high and discovered staining on the knee high...from the mohair. It is Angelic Touch in Medium Brown. I did do the test on a section of the mohair before I began rooting but I guess I didn't spritz it enough. Otherwise I would have seen that the dye was not set properly. I'm assuming the dye came off on my fingers while rooting and I accidentally rubbed it into spots on the head.
I couldn't find anything on color wash that seemed to relate to staining. I did see a post suggesting acne creme to remove mohair dye from the vinyl. What kind/brand of cream would I use? How long would I leave it on the yellowed spots before removing it?
