BB is no longer going to include neck rings and plugs in it's kits starting Monday. They will be seperate and can be purchased for an addt'nl price.
I have necer used these before, but I have 4 BB kits in boxes to do later with them.
Do you all think this will be a problem if you don't use the rings and plugs with the BB kits in the future? Or can we just use cable ties and move on from there? I have only used Secrist kits so far and don't use plugs or rings with them and they are fine, but just wanted your thoughts on this.

confuse    i never use the plugs w/ no problem , i find it amazeing that the price of thier kits keeps going up but the quality keeps going down.........sage  aww

I don't use the plugs or rings either. They started putting them in with their kits because the vinyl is different and more squidgy so it was more difficult to turn the head once the tye wrap was tightened. And also they don't have the extra covering like on the Secrist kits (the part you cut away to do the internal wash).

Sage, I think everyone is trying to cut corners these days so maybe the vinyl is either different, they pour them thinner, or something (IMHO). And I'm sure the vinyl has a batch color/blend just like batches for yarn dyes and stuff.

I used the plugs with my kits, but when I first started reborning I just cut a circle of felt and glued it over the holes I never had a problem so I will probably go back to that I refuse to pay extra for plugs.

Me too! And since I stuff them last after the beads, I don't need them anyway.
