Question about toning down vinyl

I recently ordered a kit that is a little extra pink. I read it was recommended to use an earthy mint green very lightly to tone it down. Before I do this, I wanted to see if I need to do it on the inside or outside of the vinyl. It's for a belly and tushie plate. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I alway color correct by applying a thin wash to the outside of the vinyl even on belly plates.

I always apply the color correction on the outside too. Find the color you want to correct on your colorwheel, then choose the opposite color on the wheel. Add a toothpick tip of that color to your flesh base color and pounce the color on. It should be just right after baking. Or you can use the forum search feature at the top of the page and see allllll the other posts and what people have done. :)
