I had seen a topic for correcting vinyl on here before and now can't find the search engine to be able to find it. Can someone tell how I can find the topic for "correcting vinyl"? I have too much yellow coming through and want to blend better. I have used 2 layers of flesh (06 & 08) and burnt sienna already. I'd like to tone down the yellow. Any suggestions? I'd appreciate some help! Thank you in advance!! smile

You use a mint wash, if I remember correctly it is a little bit of Phthalo Gren 06 and Flesh 08/07  mixed thinly with oderless thinners, may need a few coats.  Someone else probably knows more about it than me as I know you can get it pre mixed. XXXXX June.

Talk about correcting things. The last  two heads I bought  the companies logo is printed so deep and dark into the head I don't know if I will ever be able to cover it. I don't know if I can sand it down if that will help. I feel like writing to the company and complaining  that probably won't do any good. Any suggestions? Thanks ladies.

I hate it when they do that :( I know there were some suggestions of sculpy to fill in if its too deep to sand it might also cover the darkness as well.

To color correct yellow you need to use purple. I have a kit once that was really yellow and purple worked for me.
Mint or green I use if my vinyl is too pink.

Do you have a color wheel? That way you can pin point tthe color you want to correct and apply the appropriate nuetralizing color on the opposie side of the wheel.

Thanks for the great advice from everyone.

Tina is correct that you would need to consult a color wheel and choose the color that is directly opposite of the color of the vinyl.  If it is yellow, for instance, apply a thin wash of a violet (red/blue) color.  If is is more orange, apply a blue violet or periwinkle color.

If you don't have a color wheel, try searching for one on the internet.  There are a lot of them out there.

Hope this helps.
