OK, I searched all over and maybe I'm missing a post on it but I figured I'd ask again. I apologize if it's already been asked but I couldn't find it While I'm waiting for Justins head to dry...taking forever... ...I've been wanting to do an AA baby for my father in laws nurse but I have a question. I know you can get bi racial kits but if you use a caucasion kit is the paint coloring the same? I mean do I need to do anything different in my base paints to achieve the coloring I'm looking for then using the paints I have? Here they are: flesh 04 flesh 03 burnt umber raw umber ... just to get the correct flesh coloring for the flesh base are these basically all I need? Thanks
I personally use caucasian kits for my AA babies. My paint mix is more complicated than that, though. I use the following colors (borrowed from Gina at www.noniesangelsnursery.com)
For bi-racial babies I use:
6 of Flesh 05 1 of Flesh 04 1/2 of Flesh 02 1/4 of Yellow Ochre End of toothpick of Pyrolle Red 02
Medium skin tone babies:
3 of Flesh 05 1 of Flesh 04 3.5 of Flesh 02 1/4 of Yellow Ochre end of toothpick of Pyrolle Red 02
Dark skin tone babies:
1 of Flesh 05 1 of Flesh 04 5.5 of Flesh 02 1/2 Yellow Ochre end of toothpick of Pyrolle Red 02
The numbers refer to the amount of Smidgen spoons you need (sold by BB).
