smilehey everyone again,

i was just working on my asain baby and i just took another look at her and found out the her blush was out of control. the blush isn't like a bright red color, but there seems to be a lot of it. i asked my friend what she thought and she said that it just looks like she went for a wagon ride in the winter.....yeah, it's that bad. i would really like to fix it or somehow accept it, but i already rooted some hair, inserted the eyes using glue, painting baby tears on the lips and putting a magnet in the head. i guess i'm going to just have to accept my wagon-riding baby, unless someone could possibly help me. thanks if ya can!

Personally, I like babies with bright blushed cheeks, as long as it was a natural color. Could you post pictures for us?

i don't think that's it's too bad anymore, at least since some of the hair has been added. i'll post pictures soon, when she is done....i think she'll look a lot better now that i know what she'll be like with the dark hair. i can't wait till she's done! :)

If you have a heat gun you could always use a color-correcting paint color and just hit that spot. If you do be sure to cover the hair, lips, and eyes so the heat doesn't get to them (that heat gun can ruin even good mohair, so I've heard).

Yes, the heat gun works really well for spot touch ups.

I hate them, unless you are used to using them they can get very hot and make the vinyl shinny. I did, If you have rooted it already you can still bake in a normal oven. Just put a damp cloth arround the hair, even though you don't need to. Just in my oppinion. XXXXX June.

Ya, something like that. But you hold it about 3-4 inches away from your doll and go around in a slow (but not too slow) circle and then move onto another patch. I usually know it's done when the color gets matte instead of shiny.
But do be careful putting your bub in the oven too. Like June said, cover the hair with a damp cloth (or just wet it and it should be good). Let us know if you decied to do something with it. :)

I'm not used to heat gun, I ruin one of my dolls. It's not as so much red blush, but I want it much lighter than it used to be so I tried using heat gun, and overused it.

Thanks Pat, i can't wait till she's done, i'm having a hard time rooting a "hard spot" on her head, i'm almost done. this poor girl is having a hard time getting some clothes, the out fit i bought/made for her is too small, and the couple dresses i've made for her, just don't look right, so i'll try again to make her something today....uggg, i just can't wait till she's done!!!

Our babies have to be just right you know lol! :)

Tamara88, can you tell me what happened to your doll when you used the heat gun? Did it melt or just get shiny? It might not be ruined but I need to know what you think is the problem as far as being ruined.
As far as making the blush lighter, you would use a color-correcting paint on the areas you want lightened and then use the heat gun. But don't hold it on for long and move it around.
