I've hinted around a bit about wanting the #2 Secrist course/kit for Christmas, and even went as far as to walk my hubby over to the area, pick up the box and show it to him! My question is, which 3 paints are included? I haven't been able to find this info anywhere, and secrist has not responded.
I really hope I get a Zoe. BTW, will the 3 paints provided in the kit give me realistic skin, nails, lips, etc.? If not, I want to order the other colors now, so that's why I'm asking what is included.
Thank you Ms. Buffington. Secrist responded: That the course #2 start kit petite paints are the strawberry complexion premixed lips, blush and crease, and wrinkle paints.
if i were you, i would get the flesh 08 and flesh 07 if they don't already come with the kit. you'll need those paints for texture and fountation. i'm sorry i can't think right now, so there maybe more needed paints you'll need. but. for sure you should get those two. hope i could help.....my brain is still loading!
I agree with Ivy that you should get the Flesh paints also. The reason they are not included is most likely that the skin foundation is not covered in the DVD.
I would personally recommend Course #3 because I would want a complete picture of what is needed to finish a doll. Course 3 covers everything in the previous courses and includes the skin foundation. I really think you would be so much happier with the complete Course 3.

Alrighty, I'll get flesh 07 and 08 too--the three paints that come with the #2 course are all red shades. Miss Play Days, I'm sure you are right about the course #3. I have to hold off though, because I can't spend that much right now (or suggest that big a gift for myself!). I'm trying to learn enough online to get my feet wet and see if I enjoy it. I've always loved dolls, and I've done a bit of painting, so I think I'm going to really have fun with it. I've spent hours on end so far, just admiring everyone's dolls and trying to pick up what I can.
Thanks for the help--if you think of any other must have paint colors, please let me know!
Only 2 other paints that I think is are a must is the pre-mixed petite vein blue color (if you want your babies to have veins) and the internal wash color. Those also don't come with that set but I think you might want them.
If you love dolls and have done some painting I think you'll really love making these babies. And after you watch the dvd you can come back and ask us questions (I'm sure you'll probably have a few lol). :o
