So what do you all think of the New 21" Kelly kit? http://www.secristdolls.com/inc/sdetail/71661
With those deep set eyes I think she is the most realistic kit Secrist has brought in yet! She is just adorable :)
I'm glad they're getting in some larger ones. Just wanted to know what people think...

Based on just one photo, I think she's cute, and I'm looking forward to painting her.  I wish they would add some images.  If you click on the "more images" link, it takes you to photos of Honey.

I also like the looks of her but would find a few more photos helpful...I'm sure they'll be out before long.

Ya, I know. Sometimes the webmaster gets things mixed up and it takes a while to get it fixed as he also wears MANY hats at the company lol

Maybe they'll put more pics on soon.

Well, I got my new Kelly kit and have her almost all painted. I was going to enter her in the contest but she doesn't have any hair and I was already too late to enter her. I'll try to post some pics in the artist showcase next weekend (this week is college finals!)

I'm also working on Erin, Annie, and Sweetie Pie. I'll post pics of their heads too. :o

I've started the hair on Erin and Annie so don't laugh ok? lol  I took them to school to work on them during lunchtime and the other students had to make fun of them.
You may give comments on my painting if you like. Some of you are pretty honest on comments and I really appreciate that. :)

Too bad you didn't finish for the contest, but I totally understand.  It was really hard for me to get finished, too, and I probably have a fraction of the activity and deadlines that you are dealing with.  Looking forward to seeing those poor humiliated babies in the showcase area. You know, people made fun of Rudolph, too, and look how revered he is now.  thumbsup.gif

She looks like a lovely sculpt in the link, but what I don't get is why they paint the eyebrows so long, Babies eyebrows aren't that long or have I been a sleep to long. I took a pic of my daughters , friends baby and her foot, she is so georgious, so happy would make a perfect sculpt. I took it with my new phone and don't know how to download onto the computer yet. When I do I will post, they will have to be in artist showcase won't they Pat. XXXXX June.

Yes Linda, but I don't think my babies will be so revered lol :o

Thats funny June, a pic of the babies foot! hehehe But let me tell you, I have done something similar... I go into the google for babies and right click and save things like eyes, brows, smiles, etc so I can paint realistic babies. We sure do some funny things hehehe

You can send that pic to yourself as an e-mail June. Then when you open the e-mail just right click on the pic to save to your computer (make sure you save it to somewhere where you can find it). Then just put it in the artist showcase like usual. :)

Kelly is a very cute "doll",but not very realistic features for it to be made into a newborn/baby.

I don't know if the Kelley doll does or does not look realistic but my opinion I think is she is realistic BUT, I do think her features are a little to close to each other... But Pat is right she is such a little cutie and I think she is realistic SO, I think the close features make her look real.. Just my opinion but what do I know? right?.... lol

She'll never be a newborn because the features aren't there. But she'll make a realistic 3-6 month old baby. Pretty realistic that way.
We wouldn't want all of Secrist's kits to look like newborns now would we? Where's the fun and adventure in that? lol
