How do i get glue off of my dolls eyeballs? I have the worst time trying to glue on the eyelashes of my open eyed dolls and always get glue on the eye balls. Ive tried using acetone to get it off to no avail. Is there anything else I can use? I use the loctite glue(not from secrist).

Thanxdoh

OOOOO! Not quite sure hun. Try sticking them in the freezer. The when you take them out just make a quick pic-flick and hopefully it will come off like gum when you freeze it with an icecube. It gets so cold it just breaks off!

Loctite is a glue that normally glues two surfaces together to be permanent, it usually burns into plastic so I think you will have to replace the eyes like acetone it will melt into a hard plastic but is alright for vinal. I use a tacky craft glue to put the lashes on with, as it is water based and a lot stronger and better than PVA, also locktite will glue glass together. If you get it on your fingers, it normally sticks them together also, it has its uses but I dont think it should be used on the eyes or lashes. I have heard of people using clear nail polish, but I still tend to stick to the tacky glue. Hope this is helpfull. XXXXXX June   disbelief

Thanks. I will try freezing the eyes and see what happens. I thought loctite glue was most used for eyelashes. You live and learn, sometimes the hard way.

The locktite that Secrist sells is different than the locktite sold on the general market (so I am told). It's basically like a super glue. They use it at the factory to glue on the AV factory painted doll kit lashes which are synthetic and boy do they stay stuck on.
