If you don't want to use a magnet on the pacifier, is there anything you can recommend to hold the pacifier to the baby's mouth without damaging the paint or vinyl?
I considered using the putty recommended for hanging posters, but didn't know if it might cause some interaction with the vinyl or paint.
I've used the putty, and it seems to work fine, with no damage done to anything.

My blue tack has turned my bathroom wall blue from using it to secure my butterflies to the wall. If you use something like that you may want to use white. Not sure if it will cause a reaction in the long run as I've never used it for that.
What I do with mine is to cut the nipple part of the paci off so it's short enough to not be seen much. Then I taper it so part of it fits into the lips and holds that way. I did that with the Tina kit and Hayden. Some babies it just doesn't work with though. Some babies like that then I just leave it as is and put it in their hand or something, kind of like they just wanted to play with it or took it out of their mouth themselves. It's cute that way too and you don't run the risk of someone picking up the baby before you can tell them that it has a magnet in it.
I never put magnets in my babies. It's cute to have the binky held to the lips but personally I just don't care to take the chance, personal opinion. I think since we use paints we have to always consider the risk we take too.
I've done the cut-to-fit method, too. Sorry I forgot to tell you about it before.

Thanks to all of you for your input. I think I will just forgo the pacifier as I don't want to take a chance of discoloring the paint with the putty. He is cute enough as he is. I just did Acorn as a boy and he turned out really cute (I think). He is my thid baby. If I can figure out how, I will try to post a picture of him.
