Is the correct order of application (GHSP): Glazing Gel, Matte Varnish Sealer, and then Aleene's.  Thanks, Sandy

You would put your glazing gel on the eyelids, nails, and in the nostrils first, then you can use the matte sealer if you have shiny spots. Then Aleens inside the head for the hair.
You've got it right hun!

Thanks so much - I'm finishing up painting second doll and I have plenty of shiny spots - I'm going to try the new sealer. Lordy, I've been stripping paint on the feet-aarrgg. Also going to try rooting with the forked needle. This doll has a 14" head, so I'll be finishing up next year some time. Sandy

When you do have to strip, be sure not to "rub" the paint off. Do it like fingernail polish and take a swipe down and then use a new section of the cotton ball or whatever you're using to strip with.

Also remember... do not mix anything with the matte or it defeats the purpose. And stir it in the container first, then a VERY thin pounced layer. :)

Thanks - I'm glad you wrote because I would not have stirred the matte if it looked moist. I've been stripping wrong too, because I rub, rub, rub. "Out damned spot". Anyway I had a unusual thing happen last nite when I was stripping a small area. The vinyl was slightly warm and I put a Q-tip with nail polish remover into a corner and WOW - instantly ALL the paint came off immediately. I'm getting a Berenguer soon and am thinking of warming it up and then use the stripper. I'll test a small place first, tho. I'll post if it works. Sandy

Buffington, my experiment was a dismal failure, nothing happened. Still rooting no. 2.

With a Beranguar, use acetone outside with a toothbrush to scub the paint off. I have done that on several of them. XXXXX June.
