hi, i have the wooden handled mushroom pin vise and i need to replace the needles, but there is soooooooooooo many types and i'm not sure which ones! the needles will be used for rooting hair.

I have the same thing. Mine uses cut needles so I have to cut all the needles I get (it's cheaper then buying pre cut ones ). I personally use the 40 gauge 1 barb rooting needle but I guess it's a personal perference. I tried the forked german needle, but unfortunately I haven't mastered it yet.
If you can at all figure out the forked German needle, use that one. It is by far the best needle available. I love mine.

You can get it from all Secrists suppliers and I personally use the plastic mushroom as You dont have to cut the needles. 38 or 40 one barb needle is easy to use but the folked needle only puts one or two hairs in the hole at a time. It makes the hair more realistic than to have to much in the one hole. The other needles can be used on older babies where it takes a lot of hair to root a head, and you want it thick. XXXX June.
